This is an idea that's been floating around in my head since a writing challenge that was issued way back in 2003. The challenge was to write a story involving a pickup truck, lipstick, and a silver earring. Lately I've been feeling like my writing spark is going out, and going back to the idea I had for this challenge is my attempt at recovery.

Number of Chapters: 1          Total Size: 27k          Word Count: 4,876

That was definitely almost *not* even an AU. But still amazing. How two people can meet and affect one another within barely a few minutes' time.

And that's an interesting challenge.

Loved it. I loved the language you used it felt like was in that setting in that moment, and that I was in that truck with them. It was smooth and fitting, and I love the ending that it leaves it open to possibilities. I'd fangirl you, but I just can't put in the hours. ;-)
